| Description | The upper part of the headset is designated by a number, and the bottom part by a letter. Pattern types: EC = external cup (traditional) ZS = zero stack (integral) IS = integrated (bearings fit directly into frame) Pattern numbers: Upper, eg EC34/28.6 = 34mm upper head tube bore & 28.6mm stem clamp diameter Stem clamp diameters are either 28.6mm (1 1/8") or 38.1mm (1.5") Lower, eg ZS44/30 = 44mm lower head tube bore & 30mm crown race seat diameter Crown race seat diameters are either 30mm (for 1 1/8" steerer tube) or 40mm (for 1 1/8-1.5" tapered or 1.5" steerer tubes) - Headset cups use custom made, replaceable stainless steel bearings to resist corrosion - The cups are all machined from 2014 T6 aluminium - Sealing is achieved through an adjustable taper ring cover and integrated rubber seal - Available in black, silver, red, blue, purple, orange and bronze - Does not include Head Doctor top cap |
