| Description | The Spa Cycles Eleven Speed Extender Link is designed to increase the clearance between the rear derailleur and the rear sprockets on the cassette. This useful gear gadget is especially useful where a rear mech is found to be too close to the largest sprockets to function correctly, and especially applicable on several modern cassettes with lowered (larger sprocket) bottom gears. Fits to conventional threaded rear mech hanger fittings on most frames. Includes stainless bolt. Can be used on modern groupsets to extend the gear range possible with a double chainsets. N.B This extender link replaces the extender link on RD-R7000/R8000 Shadow rear mechs to extend their range. It is possible to fit this extender link to an 11 speed road groupset incorporating the Shimano RD-R7000/R8000 Shadow rear derailleur and use a wide range cassette (up to 11-42) to achieve a similar gear range as a traditional triple setup. For 11-40 and 11-42 cassette ranges coupled to Shimano's non-shadow derailleurs (RD-5800/6800) we recommend the Sunrace SP-570 extender link. Please contact us prior to attempting this as the possibilities do vary and damage to components may occur if you try to push the limits of the rear derailleur. |
